....another old one...
Frailty
The pages of my life lie all around,
In random heapings blown about the floor.
The storm is still. The memories on the ground
Are blurred from beating rain and wind that tore.
I pick them up and try to smooth each page,
And falling tears make dimples like the rain.
Why do I cry? I feel no pain, no rage.
Right now I'm happier than I have been.
High in the storm's eye, peace caresses me.
The fall will come. Of that I do not think,
Lest I should walk with Peter on the sea,
And look upon my frailty, and sink.

like the idea...not into the execution... may grow on me... well see :) Last two lines are phenom...
yeah, i think i wrote the whole thing for the last two lines...
i definately agree on the last two lines bit.
why not turn it into a Shakespearean Sonnet and introduce the idea of frailty with those added lines in the first few quatrains...might tie it together better... just an idea... I just like it so much lol i want it to work better! :D
I certainly need to do something with it. Funny thing is, I've already rewritten it once to get this out of it. I think it was a Shakespearian before. Eventually.
